Franklin Has 3 Apes At Sotheby's. Here's What We Know So Far:

Notable Bored Ape Yacht Club member and prolific NFT Trader, Franklin, is set to do three boring flips at one of the most prestigious art auction house's in the world.

“Sotheby’s Metaverse is pleased to offer three #BAYC NFTs by @yugalabs in our private sale from @franklinisbored's collection: BAYC 7673, BAYC 5328, BAYC 3045,” the art auction house tweeted yesterday. “Come see @BoredApeYC #7673 on display in New York! Contact davis.brown@sothebys.com @_db111 for sale information.”

Take a look at the three Bored Apes that Franklin will be selling at Sotheby's below:

Following Sotheby’s announcement, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to Franklin to find out more about this unique opportunity.

“It definitely is a surreal feeling having my art/NFT sold at one of the world's leading auction houses, Franklin said. “I am not an artist so to be able to achieve this in just 18 months into owning a BAYC still feels like a dream! Did not see this coming at all. Maybe if I do this a few more times, I'd get used to it. I was contacted through someone who had a connection there and who at the time was interested in selling their NFT through Sotheby's. Then I chose the 'private sale' option to minimize the risk of the auction price being too low and wanted to keep the number of apes down to increase scarcity and keep my well-oiled trading operations intact for the remaining apes.”

At the time of this article’s publication, we do not know when Bored Ape #7673 will be on display at Sotheby’s New York or when the private sale will begin.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow this story and will let you know when more information on the private sale is released. Stay tuned for updates!
