A historic Punk was on the move Thursday after a CryptoPunk grail minter sold their comfiest-looking JPEG for 206 ETH, or $555,600 USD!

Nearly eight years after Wallet 0xbbaf6df069adfcab1a13af21d12064e4f5ea41af claimed CryptoPunk #8868—a three-trait, hoodie-wearing Punk with 3D glasses and a shadow beard—on June 23, 2017, the anonymous holder sold it to notable trader PunksOTC!

 

 

After securing the Punk, PunksOTC took to the timeline to show off his new acquisition and share some wisdom about paying up for quality. He reflected on how several collectors regretted missing out on a Hoodie Zombie Punk he sold last September.

 

“When I owned the hoodie zombie I had about 7 people trying to nickel and dime me who said they'd have paid higher than the eventual sale price,” he tweeted. “Some still message me about how frustrated they are that they didn't buy. Often when you see the NFT you want, its worth paying up for.”

 

 

While paying up for what you like is great advice, that wasn’t the case with this hoodie-wearing grail. Many Punks and Primates took to the timeline, calling PunksOTC’s purchase a generational buy!

 

Following today’s sale, Wallet 0xbbaf6df still holds two more CryptoPunks that they claimed back in 2017, according to the CryptoPunk App.
