From the swamp to the summit, there ain’t no mountain high enough for the Bored Ape Yacht Club in this new work of art, that many suspect has some hidden alpha in its snowcaps!

On Thursday, the BAYC took to the timeline with a new rocky-mountain-inspired piece by Yuga Labs Art Producer Groowut, featuring the club’s mascot Curtis alongside Gordon Goner and Garga as they ascend the rugged terrain of a towering peak. “Bored Ape Yacht Club,” the club tweeted along with the image.

The club’s post sparked a flurry of imagination and speculation across the timeline, with everyone climbing to conclusions about what this piece could mean.

“I NEED ANSWERS,” BAYC Member LawOfTheSaw tweeted along with past Groowut works!

Some Apes tweeted that they believe this could be alpha related to ApeFest 2025, which has been confirmed to take place somewhere in the United States on or after October 18th. “ApeFest Alaska confirmed,” BAYC member SuperTopSecret tweeted.

Others pointed our the pirate shup in the background and wondered if this could be connected to the top-secret treasure hunt project that Goner first teased way back in August 2024.

No matter what this piece is hinting at, one thing is clear, Groowut has been absolutely killing it with these Bored Ape pieces since joining the Yuga Labs team on February 18th!

Take a look at all of Groowut’s BAYC-themed art below:

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue tracking all of Groowut’s art from around the swamp and will keep you posted when more information about ApeFest and the treasure hunt is officially announced. Stay tuned for updates!
