From the swamp to one of the internet's biggest livestream shopping platforms!
On Thursday, the Bored Ape Yacht Club announced that it was bringing its all new physical and digital trading card game, Mudwater, to Whatnot, with a three day a week livestream schedule and a special opening night featuring Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge!

“Hey Apes, we're officially on Whatnot,” the club tweeted this afternoon. “Catch us live every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3–5 PM PST. Join us this Friday 11/6 for Opening Night featuring @mfigge .”
For those unfamiliar, Whatnot is a 24/7 livestream shopping marketplace where sellers go live to auction off and sell everything from trading cards to collectibles directly to viewers.
On the platform, BAYC could sell individual Mudwater cards, rip open packs live on stream or even gamify the shopping experience in ways that are anything but boring.
As the Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs launched Mudwater, in partnership with Orange Cap Games, during ApeFest 2026 at Beeple Studios last month.
“Mudwater is an old game played deep in the Everglades,” BAYC tweeted at the time. “Instead of dice in alleys, we play Mudwater on the docks. The game is simple, but the skill ceiling is high. And we play for keeps.”
Unlike traditional trading card games, Mudwater's phygital collectibles exist in both the physical and digital worlds but not at the same time. This allows collectors to hold and trade tokenized representations of cards and sealed products backed by physical inventory in a warehouse somewhere!
With this move, Yuga Labs is looking to bring Mudwater beyond the swamp and into the mainstream collectibles market through one of the internet's largest livestream shopping platforms.
And the potential audience is huge!
According to Whatnot, more than 20 million new accounts were created on the platform in 2025, and sellers generated over $8 billion in sales, with trading cards being the platform’s most popular category!
“WhatNot will be the main distro channel for anyone looking to purchase Mudwater from Yuga,” the company’s NGBShpend tweeted. “Get ready to rip.”
Tonight, collectors can follow the BAYC on Whatnot and RSVP for tomorrow evening's first ever livestream here : https://www.whatnot.com/user/boredapeyachtclubofficial
