SWAMP STYLE AND MUDWATER UTILITY: Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge Reveals That The BAYC's Free Crossbody Bags Were Designed To Hold Mudwater Boxes!

This bag was made for more than just swamp style!

On Tuesday, Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge gave Bored Ape Yacht Club members an update on the club's free crossbody bag drop from August, assuring everyone that their bags are coming soon!

 

But that's not all he revealed about these Ape accessories!

In a reply to fellow Ape Tic.eth, Figge shared that the bags were designed with more than just style in mind. In fact, their size and color scheme were specifically chosen with the club's recently launched Mudwater trading card collection in mind, long before Apes even knew this game was on deck!

 

“when we designed the bag a few months ago, we sized it to be big enough to hold a mudwater box,” he tweeted. “It’s also why the color scheme is what it is free bag just like the boxes at apefest good to see us all excited to literally be bag holders soon.”

 

Following Figge's comments, things were anything but boring around the swamp as speculation swirled about whether these free bags will come with a free box of Mudwater.

 

“Let the speculation begin,” BAYC Member Truth tweeted. “Will there be a sealed @BoredApeYC Mudwater Box included inside the Crossbody Bag?”

 

While we don't know whether these sling-style crossbody bags will arrive with any Mudwater packs inside, we do know that they feature a matte black finish, a gold Ape skull emblem near the bottom and a zipper pull emblazoned with the phrase "COLLECTORS COLLECT." So either way, these things are grails!
