FROM THE YACHT TO THE RACEWAY: ApeChain Was On Top At The Monaco Grand Prix!

Some serious monkey business went down in Monaco this weekend as a group of $Ape whales took to the Formula 1 Grand Prix by the sea to cheer on the ApeCoin DAO sponsored Alpine BWT car and party on the yacht!

While Alpine’s $Ape branded car didn’t have the weekend they were hoping for on the track, ApeChain was still on top and in the winner’s circle, as Bored Ape Yacht Club members, $Ape holders, and more filled the timeline with photos from the raceway to the water.

 

“Since land access to the harbor is super restricted during the Grand Prix, the only way in is by sea. Talk about arriving in style,” BAYC member Dyorjadore told the Gazette. “We had an epic view right at the tunnel exit of the track, absolutely wild with the roar of the engines and that famously tight corner. You could really feel each car zip by. Once on the boat, it was all-out luxury: premium service with champagne, cocktails, and food flowing non-stop. The yacht was huge, spread across three levels, and there were never more than 30 of us onboard, so plenty of space to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime vibe. Most of the guests were Alpine partners, and we even got to chat a bit with some of the Binance team, who are also sponsors. The Alpine crew? Super chill. And Emilie and Nef from the ApeChain team who were with us,total legends!”

This Monaco F1 Racing Experience weekend was made possible thanks to the ApeCoin DAO’s approval of AIP-406 back in February 2024. That proposal made ApeCoin an official sponsor of the Alpine BWT racing team and secured the $Ape logo on the team’s car!
