FROM TORT TO TRIPPY: This BAYC Member And Lawyer Just Bought A Trippy Fur Primate For 53 Eth Or $121K

From tort to trippy, this Bored Ape Yacht Club member and lawyer is going to have to take a lot of cases to court to pay for his new primate!

On Monday, longtime BAYC member Captain Jhyan purchased Bored Ape #9361 from fellow member Bavi for 53 ETH, or $121,500 USD.

 

“When your top rated @BoredApeYC trippy is available, you have to snag him - BAYC 9361 is off to the vault,” Captain Jhyan tweeted. “Thanks to  @bavibull for the smooth deal. Now off to sue some car manufacturers and trucking companies to pay for this bad boy.”

 

Bored Ape #9361 is a five trait trippy fur primate with a robotic eye and a bored, unshaven bubblegum mouth. Based on these traits, it ranks as the 519th rarest Ape around the swamp, according to OpenSea.

 

 

With this move, Captain Jhyan now holds four Bored Apes and a Mutant in his wallet, and he says he’s as bullish as ever about the future of the BAYC.

“I’ve been in BAYC since late 2021, love the club, believe apes are the face of NFTs and love @mfigge taking over,” he said. “ I’ve always wanted a trippy, this one was at the top of my draft board and with the recent positive momentum I knew it was time to grab him.  Long live Bored Ape Yacht Club!”

 

As Captain Jhyan adds this trippy furred grail to his collection, Bavi changed his PFP and said goodbye to his old fren that he acquired nearly six months ago for 32.5 ETH.

“Honored beyond words to have protected this absolute beast of an Ape through many battles,” he tweeted. “Bought it when so many lost faith in @BoredApeYC… but I never did. Never will. #BAYC is eternal. Huge congrats @jhyanstrudel . Take good care of it. Also shoutout to @mfigge for flooding the club with fresh energy and making grails great again!
