FULL SET FRIDAY: BAYC Member Ernest Lee Completes His Full Set And Plans To Celebrate With An Insane Tattoo!

There’s a new shrewdness around the swamp this Full Set Friday!

Last weekend, Ernest Lee acquired his cheetah fur Ape’s matching M2 Mutant with a little help from fellow Ape, MachiBigBrother and completed his full set! Now, he’s planning to celebrate with a tattoo that sounds insane!

There have been 203 Full Set Fridays since the Bored Ape Yacht Club airdropped its members either an M1, M2, or M3 serum on August 28, 2021. In all that time, only 179 collectors have assembled a troop, an OG Bored Ape, its matching number Doggo, plus the primates M1 and M2 Mutants.

And last weekend, BAYC Member Ernest Lee became the 180th collector to complete his full set and join the exclusive club!

 

For Lee, completing his full set was a personal goal from the moment he aped into the swamp and purchased Bored Ape #8335 on April 25, 2024.

Within weeks, he added his primates matching M1 Mutant and even traded for the Doggo with his Ape's same number.

 

He was close, but his dream of a full set had to wait. The M2 version of Lee's Ape was owned by MachiBigBrother, who had sent it to Binance’s NFT staking site, where it sat for a year.

 But Recently, Machi moved the Mutant back to his wallet, and Lee took to the timeline to make his pitch and ask his fren to sell him the Ape!

“There are 179 wallets that have a full set of BAYC, MAYC and BAKC. I would like to be the 180th such wallet but my M2 MAYC was locked up until just recently when @machibigbrother transferred it to his wallet with many others. I have made a 5 ETH offer on MACY #26671 on Magic Eden to no avail. @machibigbrother ... can i please purchase this one from you so that I can complete my set for my upcoming tattoo?

 

 

Machi obliged  and Lee completed his set on Sunday. “I’m very grateful to Machi for selling him to me to complete my set,” he told the paper.

 

 

Now that his set is locked onchain forever, Lee plans to ink it on himself forever as well, with a tattoo masterpiece that sounds insane!

“I was an open canvas at the beginning of the year when I started the project,” he said. “I have the BAYC on my right chest and my MAYC M1 on my left chest. They are separated by an Otherside Obelisk with a Rift at the bottom and surrounded by Otherside Tribal that I had drawn by none other than Tavo Montañez. I am working on my Koda on one shoulder and my BAKC on the other. I'm very happy to have now completed the set and plan to put the M2 on my back, large as can be.”
