Garga Gave Voyagers An Idea Of What To Expect During Tomrrow's 2nd Trip
On 2nd Trip Eve, Bored Ape Yacht Club Co-Founder Garga took to Twitter and gave Voyagers an idea of what they can expect during tomorrow’s trip and reminded the community that this event is just another step towards Yuga Labs' goal of a persistent metaverse!
“Stoked for 2nd Trip tomorrow - it’s a big step towards a persistent Otherside. Should be a great event for all Voyagers, but equally important it’s an opportunity to try out a lot of things that will help inform future co-development, Garga tweeted. “So what can we expect? There’ll be some fun new traversal mechanics, several new character models, a big push on concurrent players (need to beat the 4.4k Voyagers we had for First Trip), more regions supported, and a couple new environments. There’s also going to be some light competition led by four great team captains. While there have been small closed-door tests, having literally thousands of users competing in the same space is not something I’ve seen in literally any video game or metaverse. There will be a ton to learn from the competitive aspect alone. A lot of love from a huge amount of extremely talented people went into crafting 2nd Trip, and there's a lot more to come on the Voyager's journey. Excited to jump into the swamp with you all. See you in Otherside tomorrow and hopefully much more frequently!”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Garga that Yuga Labs’ goal is to have persistent world of the Otherside open sometime this year.
“The persistent world will be coming in 2023,” Garga said in an October 2022 interview with Punk6529. “There will be multiple experiences, many multiple experiences along the way, but the initial persistent world, where people will have full access to the initial customer experience will be in 2023.”
