"GET IN LOSERS WE'RE GOING TO APECHAIN": Yuga Labs’0xQuit Makes History By Bridging His Bored Ape To ApeChain!

On Monday’s we move Bored Apes to ApeChain.  

History was made around the swamp today as Yuga Labs’ Vice President of Blockchain, 0xQuit, took his Bored Ape somewhere no primate had gone before,  ApeChain, after officially bridging it from Ethereum to the Layer-2!

“Get in losers we're going to APECHAIN,” 0xQuit tweeted along with a photo of his cross chain transaction.

 

With this move, 0xQuit’s Bored Ape now literally lives on ApeChain and will remain there until he chooses to bridge it back to Ethereum mainnet.

After arriving on ApeChain, 0xQuit made history again by listing his primate for sale  on Magic Eden for 4,200,069 $Ape or 2.2 million USD.

 

“First time I've ever listed this bad boy,” he tweeted. “Asking is firm, I know what I have.”

 

This cross chain move was made possible by Yuga Labs’ new Shadow tech, a system that 0xQuit himself helped create!

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Shadows bring Ethereum NFT assets to Layer-2 blockchains like ApeChain, opening up new possibilities for holders, including rewards, mints, and more. To use Shadows, Ethereum based NFT holders can either delegate a soulbound Shadowed NFT thats already on ApeChain to a different wallet or literally bridge the asset itself from Ethereum to ApeChain, just like 0xQuit did.

 

 

While bridging a Bored Ape directly to ApeChain is incredible, 0xQuit did caution the community that it's not for the faint of heart, and that many mistake prone primates should probably stick to the soulbound Shadow option.

 

“Recommend people that are prone to mistakes like that stick to shadow mode,” he tweeted. “Bridging is only for the brave.”
