Grammy Award Winners Hit-Boy And James Fauntleroy Are Working With This BAYC Inspired Music Group
Two Grammy award winning producers have signed up to oversee this Bored Ape Yacht Club inspired band’s music direction and sound.
BAYC based music group, KingShip, has signed Hit-Boy and James Fauntleroy to work with the group and its Mutant DJ and Producer, Arnell, according to Variety.
“I’m always looking to push things forward musically,” Hit-Boy, who has worked with Beyonce, Rihanna, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and many others, told Variety. “And this is a great opportunity to do something new in the web3 space.”
Fauntleroy, who’s collaborated with Beyonce, Rihanna, Drake, Nipsey Hussle and others, told Variety that “It’s so exciting to be a part of something historical and ambitious. As a huge nerd, and music fanatic, I can’t wait to see what comes from the intersection of the web3 collectors/creatives and the entertainment creative community.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, KingShip was signed by Universal Music Group in November 2021.
The group consist of three bored apes and one mutant ape.
The first bored ape in the group is Bored Ape #8824. Bored Ape #8824 is a six-trait gold fur ape wearing an astronaut suit and a sea captain’s hat. The second ape in the band is Bored Ape #7796. Bored Ape #7796 is a five-trait white fur ape with blue beam eyes. The third and final bored ape in the group is Bored Ape #1652. Bored Ape #1652 is a seven-trait golden brown fur ape with a caveman’s pelt and a king’s crown. Along with the three bored apes, KINGSHIP will also feature Mutant Ape #9314. Mutant Ape #9314 is a five trait M2 ape with golden brown fur, sunglasses, and a pimp coat.
