Gucci Sold 3,019 KodaPendants For $5,719,000 USD In 24 Hours.

Thousands of Voyagers will be breaking on through to the Otherside in style this summer after they aped into Gucci’s KodaPendants!

After a 24-hour sale, Gucci sold 3,019 KodaPendants from its new Otherside Relics collection for 1,358,550 $Ape or $5,719,000 USD, according to Etherscan data.

“The Otherside Relics by @gucci KodaPendants sale has ended,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its OthersideMeta account this evening. “It may take some time for the metadata update to appear for your newly purchased Otherside Relics by Gucci KodaPendant.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Gucci’s KodaPendants were available exclusively to Vessel and Koda Holders for 24 hours or until the items sold out.

Each KodaPendant came with an immediate metadata change to the NFT that buyers used to purchase the Otherside Relic.

Along with this instant metadata update, Voyagers who purchased a KodaPendant will also receive cosmetic upgrades to their 3D characters in the Otherside later this year and they will be able to claim a physical KodaPendant this summer, according to Gucci.

This KodaPendant is likely the first of many activations and collaborations between Yuga Labs and the luxury fashion house.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the two brands announced a multi-year partnership last month.

“We are excited to unveil this multifaceted partnership with Yuga Labs, a leader and creative pioneer in web3,” Robert Triefus, Gucci’s senior executive vice president, corporate and brand strategy, and chief executive of Gucci Vault & Metaverse Ventures, said in a statement to Business of Fashion on March 27th. “This will give us an active role in Otherside and 10KTF’s continuing narrative, unfolding in multiple forms.”
