HAPPY ANNIVERSARY: The Bored Ape Yacht Club Celebrates Five Insane Years Of Mutant Apes With More Frens Than Ever!

Five insane years later, the Mutant Ape Yacht Club is bigger than ever and still bringing the vibes both IRL and on the timeline!

On this day five years ago, all of crypto was glued to their computer screens as the Bored Ape Yacht Club airdropped every Bored Ape holder an M1, M2, or Mega Mutant Serum, followed by a Dutch auction mint for another 10,000 Mutant Apes.

 

“Strange noises can be heard from the basement of the club,” The BAYC tweeted. “The clinking of glass and the turning of gears . . . The Mutant Ape Yacht Club is now live.”

 

From the club’s original roadmap to today, Mutant Apes have always been an integral part of the BAYC and a way to bring even more frens to the swamp.

Since that initial airdrop and mint, they have certainly accomplished that!

Five years later, the MAYC has reached a new all time high of 12,180 unique holders, according to Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge.
