NFTs Are Alive! Over the weekend, an undead CryptoPunk sold for a seven-figure sum to a high end collector who’s been steadily accumulating rare digital art and Punks!

On Saturday, Punk4940 purchased CryptoPunk #3609 for 440 ETH or $1,083,000 USD.

CryptoPunk #3609 is a three-attribute Zombie Punk sporting an earring and a do-rag. Based on its traits, it's ranked as the 77th rarest Punk in the entire collection.

“In honor of Infinite Node Foundation acquisition of CP IP. I wanted to kick things off with a zombie punk,” Punk4940 tweeted after his purchase. “My wife and I thank @ArtofConviction for the heads up.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs sold the CryptoPunks IP to a non-profit called the Infinite Node Foundation, which is focused on preserving and expanding contemporary digital art, in a deal reportedly worth $20 million USD.

With this latest acquisition, Punk4940 now owns four CryptoPunks, eight XCopy pieces, a Fidenza, and many more onchain masterpieces. Take a look at his collection below:

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Punk4940 and let you know what he adds to his vault next. Stay tuned for updates!
