'IT'S GOING TO BE A BIG YEAR': Magic Eden Released A Teaser Trailer For Its Cross-Chain NFT Marketplace

Magic Eden teased that it's going to be a 'big year' across the blockchains after the platform posted a teaser trailer for its new cross-chain marketplace featuring the Bored Ape Yacht Club's mascot, Curtis, and several other familiar faces from the Web3 world!

Monday was anything but boring around the swamp and the broader Web3 ecosystem as Curtis crash-landed in Magic Eden, fist-bumped with the marketplace's mascot Emmy, juggled with a fellow primate from the Degenerate Ape Academy, bounced with Pudgy Penguin's Pudgy and Peaches, and said hello to Taproot Wizards, BoDoggos, and Azukis in a new teaser trailer for Magic Eden's cross-chain marketplace.

“Let them sleep,” Magic Eden tweeted along with a minute long video.

At this time, Magic Eden currently supports NFT trading on the Solana, Bitcoin, and Polygon blockchains. The company plans to add Ethereum NFT trading, in collaboration with Yuga Labs, to its cross-chain marketplace soon.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs Co-Founder Garga first announced that Yuga Labs was collaborating with Magic Eden on a royalty enforced Ethereum marketplace at ApeFest 2023, following Opensea’s decision to make all Creator Royalties optional by February 29th, 2024.

"It sucks that a lot of marketplaces have turned their backs on the creators that helped build the platforms over the past two years,” Garga said to the club. “And one of the most frustrating parts of that is the flipflopping. There’s a whole sea of marketplaces that want to support creators and then not the next. So it goes us thinking what would it be like if we could get one of these marketplaces to legally, contractually, and bindingly support creators in perpetuity.
