Jimmy Fallon told the world that he is a member of the Bored Ape Yacht Club during tonight’s episode of the Jimmy Fallon show.
During his interview with NFT artist Beeple, Fallon said that he recently got a bored ape with the help of the crypto company, Moonpay.
“I just got my first NFT,” Fallon told Beeple. “Through Moonpay I did my homework. Moonpay is like Paypal but for crypto and I bought an ape.”
Fallon is not the first celebrity that Moonpay has brought into the BAYC. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the company also assisted rapper Lil Baby in acquiring his Bored Ape.
While Fallon is yet to show the world his bored ape or change his Twitter profile photo, it is very likely that his ape is Bored Ape #599.
Bored Ape #599 is a six trait cream fur ape with a sea captains hat, a navy striped tee and heart sunglasses.
Moonpay purchased Bored Ape #599 on Novemeber 8th for 46.6 Eth or $216,000 USD. The company then transferred the primate to Opensea user 0x0394; who’s account was just made this month.
