LOOKING FOR FRENS: Take A Look At Some Of The 3D Apes That Appeared In Yuga Labs'New Otherside Video!
Bored Ape Yacht Club members are going ape as they search for their primates and their frens in today’s Otherside video inviting them to the swamp next month!
On Tuesday, Yuga Labs shared a new video announcing the company’s upcoming day in the swamp event featuring row after row of 3d modeled primates!
After the videos release, BAYC members examined the 20 second clip frame by frame spotting frens like Pieter, Josh Ong, Gerry, Baron, PP Man, CryptoPainter, Lost, Gene, DragonSeller, Swickie, WithoutName, Javier Lovato, and many more in the crowd!
“It was such a fun experience going through the video 20+ times to try and spot friends in the crowd,” BAYC member Javier Lovato told their Gazette. “Definitely helps give an idea of what it's going to be like running around as our apes and spotting friends in the space that we recognize from their pfp. We got a little taste during the Otherside play test but this feels like it's going to be on a much greater scale and include the whole community this time.”
At this time, we do not know when in February Apes will be heading to the swamp or what they will do once they get there, but we do know that 2024 will be filled with Otherside experiences for Apes, the Yugaverse and the broader Web3 community, according to Yuga Labs’ Otherside General Manager, Eric Reid.
"We’ve been listening, and we know that creators need a social and experiential platform to connect with audiences with collaborators and with friends,” Reid said to the ApeFest crowd on November 4th. “Everybody needs a better destination to discover things, to socialize and to flex across all kinds of different experiences. So after new year’s we are going to bring some more experiences to Otherside and we are going to bring them to the wider community, we’re going to enable social and we are going to enable Apes, Punks, Meebs, and the Grailed, and other people who are not part of the Yuga community to come in and build and create and share.”
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Yuga Labs’ day in the swamp event and the company’s upcoming Otherside experiences. Stay tuned for updates!
