MEET THE CANDIDATE: Ms. NFTy Is Running For A Spot On The DAO's Discourse Facilitator Team

ApeCoin DAO Contributor and Discourse Facilitator nominee, Ms. NFTy, hopes to bring the 'Warm & Fuzzies' to the $Ape community as part of the DAO's Discourse Facilitator team.

Election 2023 is heating up around the swamp as 14 ApeCoin DAO contributors threw their hats in the ring and announced their candidacies for ApeCoin DAO's Discourse Facilitator team earlier this month.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the DAO approved of the creation of a three-person, community led, Discourse moderation team last month when it passed Ape Improvement Proposal-240.

This team will be responsible for “overseeing the proposal process, moderating discussions, enforcing rules, and promoting positive community engagement based on DAO-approved guidelines,” according to the DAO. Each Discourse team member will serve a three-month term and will earn $8,000 USD per month.

One of the candidates running for a spot on the Discourse moderation team is ApeCoin DAO Contributor Ms. Nfty.

"I want community members to feel the ApeCoin Warm & Fuzzies as soon as they jump into Discourse, Actually, I want to be one of Facilitators responsible for giving WARM & FUZZIES, Ms. NFTy wrote on her ApeCoin DAO candidate page. “Selfishly it fuels me to exchange the positive vibes & helping others. I envision giving others a hand in guiding them through what can seem complicated and take some time to get acquainted with the layout and process, helping members feel at HOME and not lost. Some of this comes from wanting this when I first joined the Discourse. Being from the business development and management world, helping people identify best routes to execute their visions with strategic problem solving, resources and budgeting allows assisting community members with submitting AIPs more completely and educating through the process. It’s very fulfilling to help others execute their dreams, in this sense their AIPs."

1.In a sentence or two why should the $Ape community vote for you?

“I have a background in developing businesses that directly impacts my ability to help members writing their AIPs, and and inherent desire to help others. This fuels my spirit.

2.What made you want to run for Discourse Facilitator team?

“I love uplifting and helping others, so the position fits my passion. Although there is a lot of administrative work to be done, behind the scenes you are communicating and assisting members wanting to contribute and submit AIPs. The interaction and energy they receive is very important to the culture and foundation of the DAO.”

3. What sets you apart from the other nominees?

“What sets you apart from the other nominees? My passion for building businesses, my love for helping to make other’s dreams come true. These AIPs are the babies of our community members, the idea of helping their babies grow up and out into the world excite me. Secondly, my experience in building businesses over the years provides me with various problem solving tools & strategies to better serve the community.”

4.What do you hope to accomplish during your term?

“I hope to see more AIPs successfully pass, with less revision periods, that will in turn reflect well on the DAO as a whole.”

5. How did you get into Web3 and NFTs?

“In 2016 I bought ETH simply because of my little brother’s recommendation. It exploded, and I realized I needed to know more about this space. I realized that blockchain would be applicable to EVERY industry. I then invested in developing blockchain technology, pertaining to the music industry. I finally purchased my first NFT in 2021.”

6. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?

“I’d love the opportunity to serve the community and grow with the DAO as we pave the way for us to be a strong pillar in the ecosystem. Right now is the time for us to get some amazing AIPs out into the world and host some amazing new members into our home. Our community, APECOIN.”
