MEET THE CANDIDATE: Xeer Is running For BAYC Community Council Co-Lead!

Xeer started his journey around the swamp as an intrigued skeptic but quickly became a leader in the Bored Ape Yacht Club community, connecting Apes online and in real life. Now, Xeer is hoping to bring his community-building skills to the BAYC’s Community Council as its next Co-Lead, where he hopes to amplify Apes' voices around the world and make being a BAYC member worthwhile!

This year’s BAYC Community Council elections are underway, and Apes are taking to the polls to elect a Council Co-Lead, who will act as the committee's co-leader, a Made By Apes Liaison, who will be responsible for finding ways to support and connect Made By Apes businesses, and a Clubhouse and Events Liaison, who will be responsible for setting up events between local BAYC communities and Yuga Labs!

One of the five Apes running for the Co-Lead position is Xeer who wants to push for  inclusivity, creativity, and sustainable development around the swamp!

1. What's your Bored Ape story? What should the community know about you?

“My journey with the Bored Ape Yacht Club began with both intrigue and skepticism, but swiftly transformed into a profound passion for community-building within the NFT space. As an early member, I've witnessed firsthand the evolution of the club and actively contributed to its growth. Throughout my time in the BAYC community, I've evolved from a curious participant to a dedicated leader, prioritizing inclusivity, creativity, and sustainable development. My commitment to fostering connections among fellow apes and contributing to the growth of the club is unwavering. As a leader, I am dedicated to advocating for the interests of all apes and driving positive change within the club.”

2. What’s been your favorite moment of being a BAYC member?

“Attending my first ape meetup stands out as one of the most cherished moments of my BAYC journey. It was incredibly rewarding to connect with fellow apes in person, exchange stories, and strengthen our bonds beyond the metaverse. The sense of camaraderie and belonging within the community during that meetup was unforgettable, solidifying the importance of real-world connections beyond our digital world. 3. What would you like to accomplish as the BAYC Council Co-Lead? 

“In my role as the BAYC Council Co-Lead, my overarching objective is to cultivate transparent communication, encourage collaboration, and spearhead initiatives that enrich the BAYC experience for all members. It is imperative to me that every voice within our community is not only heard but also valued, empowering each member to actively contribute to shaping the club's trajectory. Furthermore, I am committed to enhancing community engagement and championing initiatives that foster inclusivity and diversity within the BAYC ecosystem. By prioritizing these principles, we can create a more vibrant and forward-thinking community that reflects the diverse perspectives and talents of all its members.”

4. What makes you the right Ape for this role?

“My extensive experience spans both web2 and web3, granting me a deep understanding of the NFT market and a proven track record of leadership within the BAYC community. With a dedicated commitment to advocating for the interests of all apes, I aim to drive positive change within the club.”

5. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say? 

“In conclusion, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve the BAYC community as the Council Co-Lead. Together, we have the potential to innovate, collaborate, and cultivate a vibrant, inclusive ecosystem that enriches every ape’s experience.
