From the Swamp to the seven seas, noteworthy apparel is always in fashion as the Bored Ape Yacht Club gets ready to lean into its nautical roots with the upcoming Manifest collection!

It was Fit Check Friday at the BAYC after the club gave members their first look at a bright red sailing jacket from its upcoming Manifest collection, a new limited edition apparel line created exclusively for members.

“Manifest 001: Flying Colors will contain 5 apparel pieces,” the club tweeted. “One of those pieces will debut as an exclusive, members only item and in limited quantity. We’re here for the summer, but also for future adventures. More details to come.”

While we haven't seen the full collection yet, the first look suggests the BAYC is drawing its inspiration from the colorful sailing jackets and timeless style that brands like Nautica made iconic in the 1990s.

After the reveal, Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge made it clear this isn't just another merch drop.

“more than merch,” he said. “Noteworthy apparel BAYC Style.”

The club's upcoming Manifest collection is another step toward Figge's broader vision of putting the Yacht Club back into the Bored Ape Yacht Club through more intentional design, aesthetics, and storytelling.

“We’ve also been thinking about what it actually means to be a Yacht Club - not just the name, but the feeling behind it,” the BAYC tweeted in April. “That’s starting to take shape. From here on out, you’ll see it show up more clearly in our apparel, our collaborations, and an aesthetic that finally does the Yacht Club name justice.”

The Gazette will continue to follow the BAYC's Manifest Series and will let you know when and how members can ape in. Stay tuned for updates!
