Friday night was anything but boring at the Bored Ape Yacht Club as it appears that NBA rookie Lamelo Ball joined the BAYC.
Screen shots from the BAYC discord of a user named Lamelo Ball verifying his account began to pop up all over Twitter.
The Bored Ape Gazette looked up Ball’s discord rofile photo ape and checked opensea ownership records and determined that the ape is owned by user “yellowmelo”. This appears to be Ball’s account based on the opensea profile photo.
The official Bored Ape Yacht Club Twitter account shared a tweet that suggest that it really is the Charolette Hornets star.
Ball's Bored Ape is #7226. Bored Ape #7226 is a 5 trait ape sporting a pair of 3D glasses and Sea Captains hat, according to Rarity Tools.
In the discord, Ball’s account has been speaking to other apes about the BAYC.
The Bored Ape Gazette reached out to Ball for comment and are waiting for a response.
While Ball did not reply by the publication of this report, he did have something to say about the Bored Ape Yacht Club on Discord.
“Never been so exited to be bored on carti,” Ball posted.
