Utah Jazz Center Rudy Gobert aped into the Bored Ape Yacht Club early Sunday morning.
The three time NBA defensive player of the year tweeted a photo of Bored Ape #6909 along with a couple tropical emojis.
Bored Ape #6909 is a six trait brown fur ape with a spinner hat, Hawaiian shirt and a bored mouth. Gobert purchased Bored Ape #6909 on November 5th for 34.8 Eth or 159,000 USD.
After Gobert shared his ape on Twitter, BAYC members welcomed the NBA player to the club. “Love it my man,” BAYC member Carson Turner tweeted. “Aloha! #BAYC”
Bored Ape #6909 is Gobert’s first bored ape, but the primate is not the NBA players first NFT, according to his Opensea account.
Gobert first joined Opensea in May 2021and was transferred his first NFT, a VeeFriends “Genuine Giraffe,” from Gary Vee himself on August 1st, according to Opensea data.
After Gobert was transferred his first NFT from Gary Vee, he purchased a MVP Punk of himself for .03 Eth and a VeeFriends for 10.5 Eth.
Gobert is just the latest NBA player to join the BAYC. As the Bored Ape Gazette prevosuly reported, Tobias Harris, Steph Curry, Shaq, Lamelo Ball, Tyrese Haliburton, and Josh Hart have all joined the club.
