In 2023, The Simpsons aired its 34th annual Treehouse of Horror Halloween episode, satirizing Web3.

 

The episode opens with Bart tokenizing himself onto the blockchain.

 

Once onchain, the story becomes a crypto inspired parody of the movie Snowpiercer, where high value NFTs and tokens sit at the front of the train while rugs and worthless JPEGs live in the back.

From there, Bart’s mom, Marge, tokenizes herself and battles various NFTs like CryptoKitties and Doodles to level up her value and rescue her son.

In the end, Bart, Marge, and Homer meet some Bored Apes at the front of the train!
