ON THE BALLOT: My Token Wants The DAO To Spend $475K On Sponsoring Its Upcoming Event

My Token is gearing up to host a Web3 party and event in Malaysia later this year, with backing from the nation's government, and it wants the ApeCoin DAO to be its title sponsor for $475,000 USD!

AIP-455, titled "ApeCoin Sponsorship for MY Token 2024 Event," is an ecosystem allocation fund proposal authored by ApeCoin DAO Contributor and Organizer of MY Token Wit Wit.

“MY Token cordially invites ApeCoin DAO to be the title sponsor of MY Token, the foremost Web3 event in Malaysia,” Wit wrote. “Scheduled for the 14th and 15th of September 2024, this prestigious event will be held at the esteemed KL Base Jalan Sungai Besi (‘KL Base’), situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Notably, KL Base has been designated as a key tourism destination, promoted jointly by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture (‘Ministry of Tourism’ or ‘Government’) and the Ministry of Finance of the Malaysian Government…MY Token is the first Web3 event in Malaysia endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism. Working together with the government, the team aims to collaborate with various Asian NFTs & Blockchain communities to create an iconic Web3 event in Malaysia.”

The party will feature a music festival, foam parties, water balloon fights, Web3 exhibits, ApeCoin side events, and more. ApeCoin DAO will have numerous opportunities to showcase the DAO on the event’s main stage and will receive 50 festival passes for the community, according to Wit.

In total, MyToken is asking ApeCoin DAO to allocate $475,000 USD for this title sponsorship opportunity.

The window to vote on AIP-455 is currently open, and ApeCoin DAO contributors have until Wednesday, August 14th, to cast their votes on this proposal.
