ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Aims To Make It Easier For Apes To Meme
What Do you meme? This Ape Improvement Proposal aims to make it easier for Apes to meme with their primates and share their pfps with the world!
AIP-182 titled “The App to Create Visuals, Banners, Stickers, Memes & GIFs with your NFTs,” is an ecosystem fund allocation proposal written by Bored Ape Yacht Club member DoberDanny.
“The rationale behind this proposal is to provide the community with easy-to-use tools to create visual content with NFTs powered by ApeCoin,” DoberDanny wrote. “This is fully aligned with DAO principles to increase the utility of $ApeCoin and drive Web3 culture forward providing more social use-cases.”
Prior to this AIP, DoberDanny’s company, NFTLook, launched its Web3 creative Studio Tool in October 2022. This tools let users create memes& photos with their NFTs.
With this AIP, DoberDanny hopes to expand on the work that NFTLook has already done and create android and IOS editor apps, according to AIP-182.
“This proposal presents ApeCoin-powered iOS/Android/Web app to empower collectors to create content with their NFTs (photos during the IRL meet-ups, content for social media, memes, GIFs, or any other visual content), DoberDanny wrote. “Web3 Creative Studio will use our collection-tailored algorithms to automatically cut-off faces of NFT characters, modify them with editor tools and apply them to a variety of content-templates (including animated content). The app will be free to use with an option to get Premium features where $ApeCoin will be integrated as the primary payment currency.”
In total, DoberDanny is asking the DAO to allocate $135,000 USD to the project.
The window to vote on AIP-182 opens tonight at 9 P.M. EST. $Ape holders will have until February 8th at 9 P.M. to cast their coins!
