There is Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week that’s looking to highlight users’ involvement in the Yugaverse and make it easier for holders to show the world why their NFTs are more than just Jpegs.
AIP 225 titled “Ape Page -One place for everything about your Ape,” is an ecosystem allocation fund proposal written by Bored Ape Yacht Club member Nyxeros.
In AIP-225, Nyxeros highlights how much the Yugaverse has expanded since the BAYC minted in 2021.
“Over the last year, the Yuga ecosystem has exploded,” Nyxeros wrote. “Otherside Deeds, Mutant Cartel, pets, Sewer Passes, claims, ApeCoin, the list goes on and on. You’ve been working hard to keep up and work your way through the ranks of the Yugaverse, but all that involvement is hard to visualize. Sure, you can show people some NFTs on your Opensea profile or Tweet about your new Tier 4 Sewer Pass, but telling the story of how it all fits with the community and your PFP is tedious or disconnected at best."
Because of this growth, Nyxeros proposed that the DAO fund “Ape Page,”a website that highlights members accomplishments and community involvement.
“That’s where Ape Page comes in,” Nyxeros explained. “Connect your wallet, and Ape Page automatically pulls together your BAYC/MAYC PFPs, Sewer Passes, Pets, Jenkins Licenses, ApeCoin Staking stats, wearables, derivatives, Discord Roles, PFP Lore, achievements (and more) into a unique website with a custom URL belonging to you and your ape: 1234.MAYC.PAGE. Stop wasting time explaining how your Ape PFP is more than a monkey picture. Drop the link anywhere (Discord, Twitter, leaderboards… within Otherside) to show off how baller your Ape is.”
In total, Nyxeros is asking the DAO to allocate 25,000 $Ape or about $125,000 USD to AIP-225. Take a look at their budget below:
