ONCHAIN AND ON YOUR WALL: Boring Merch Is Launching Boring Editions This Thursday To Support Artists Around The Swamp

From onchain art to collectors' walls! Community artists are getting a new canvas as Bored Ape Yacht Club member ApeWhale's Made by Apes brand, Boring Merch, launches Boring Editions, a new initiative designed to spotlight creators from around the swamp!

Things will be anything but boring this Thursday when the first Boring Edition drops on ApeChain, pairing an affordable open edition NFT that supports community artists with a free physical art print claim available on a first come, first served basis.

The idea for Boring Editions came to ApeWhale earlier this year while preparing for a community paintball event in Tampa, Florida.

After creating commemorative posters for attendees, he started thinking about how he could bring more onchain artwork into the physical world while giving community artists another way to showcase their creations.

 “I wanted to show love to artists from within the ecosystem,” Ape Whale said. “I figured why not giveaway free art IRL while showcasing artists. I’m not a dev but always wanted to do something on ApeChain so that’s where the onchain NFT of the art piece came Into play.”

 

BAYC member and popular community artist Jacopo Lanza, who’s been creating art for Bored Apes and ApeChain projects for years, will be the first ever Boring Editions artist, and ApeWhale gave everyone a sneak peek at his work titled, “Swamp DNA.”
