Otherdeed Holders Went To The Otherside Metaverse For The First Time Today

Bored Ape yacht Club members and Otherdeed holders broke on through to the Otherside today during the metaverse’s highly anticipated load test.

About 2500 Otherdeed holders took their first steps into the Otherside during the metaverse’s load test Wednesday afternoon.

The goal of the load test was to try and “break” everything that Improbable, the gaming company working with Yuga Labs to make the Otherside a reality, has been working on. For about 30 minutes, the 2500 holders jumped ran and spoke in the Otherside to see what the tech could handle.

The game held up well and Otherdeed holders were happy with what they saw, according to social media post after the test.

“Extremely impressed with the @OthersideMeta stress test today,” BAYC member Adam Hollander tweeted following the test. “Thousands of active players running around as 3D models with absolutely zero lag Bullish and excited for July 16th Nicely done @yugalabs.”

After the test load closed, BAYC member and gamer Wonderboy commented on the technical feat that Yuga Labs and Improbable accomplished today. “Feeling extremely bullish this morning,” he tweeted. “Been gaming for 20 years and this the first time seeing this many living figures at 60fps interacting at the same time one webpage-based game. We are 1 step closer to the metaverse boys.”

Later, BAYC Co-Founder Garga took to Twitter and thanked everyone for coming to the first load test. “Thanks everyone who came out to stress test this! Had about 2.5k concurrent users running around in the neutral space. Tons of great info compiled to make sure First Trip goes smoothly and taking all your notes from Discord as well.”

Yuga Labs and Improbable will be holding their second Otherisde load test this Saturday, July 9th at 12 P.M. EST.

“The purpose of these load tests is to push the Otherside platform to its limits with the Improbable team, OthersideMeta tweeted on July 4th. “This will help inform exactly where the breaking points might be before the First Trip on 7/16, in order to create the best experience possible for the tech demo.”

A week after the second load test, Yuga Labs and Improbable will be holding its “first trip.”

“This “Frist Trip,” has been described as “The first tech demo of the Otherside, for Voyagers only. A celebration of what’s to come and an opportunity for Voyagers to gather, explore, and plan,” according to the Otherside’s official website.

After seeing today’s test load, holders are excited to see what happens on the 16th.

"That was pretty dope," BAYC member Pizza Later said. "Can't wait for the 16th when the real fun begins."

While no one knows exactly what to expect on the 16th, Yuga Labs has previously teased Voyagers with a sneak peak of the “First Trip.”

“And here’s a sneak peak of the First Trip, the tech demo from @Improbableio,” OthersideMeta tweeted on May 11th along with a 36 second clip. “Can’t wait to share the experience with you.”

The video begins with Curtis waving to the viewer and welcoming them to the Otherside. The video then shows the primate running around the world.

At the halfway point of the video, Curtis jumps into some sort of vortex and is transported into a swamp by the Bored Ape Yacht Club.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to cover the upcoming test load the first trip and the Otherside. Stay tuned for updates!
