PACKED PIPES: The Sewer Below The Bored Ape Yacht Club Will Be Packed With Characters Once Dookey Dash Unclogged Begins Later This Summer
The pipes below the Bored Ape Yacht Club are going to be packed with old and new characters, including a certain steamboating mouse from 1928, once Yuga Labs and Faraway Studios reopen the sewers for Dookey Dash Unclogged later this summer!
On Monday, Yuga Labs’ gaming partner Faraway shared a new sewer sizzle reel, showcasing characters from across the Yugaverse, such as Apes, HVs, Meebs, Grailed, and a cast of brand-new sewer stars who will appear in Dookey Dash Unclogged.
Along with our new and familiar frens from the Web3 world, the reel revealed that the 1928 version of Disney’s Mickey Mouse, known as Steamboat Willie, which is now in the public domain, will be dookey dashing in the sewers below the BAYC!
“We’re working closely with @yugalabs to ensure that the launch of DDU is primed for success,” Faraway tweeted alongside their sewer sizzle reel. “Feature dev, UA, GTM planning – there’s a lot going on behind the scenes. Stay tuned, and again, thanks for the patience.”
“Looking forward to getting Yuga and BAYC into millions of pockets in the dumbest way possible: with Dookey Dash,” Yuga Labs’ CEO Garga tweeted.
Steamboat Willie is the first public domain character to be revealed as a playable dookey dasher and the second mascot outside the Yugaverse to be included in the game.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, A Bathing Ape announced that Baby Milo would be a playable character in Dookey Dash Unclogged during NFT Paris.
At that time, it was also announced that more brands' mascots will be joining the apes in the sewers when the game launches.
Alongside brand mascots, iconic Yugaverse characters, and public domain IP, every BAYC member and Web3 creator will have the opportunity to design and sell their own creations and skins in Dookey Dash Unclogged through the in-game Faraway shop.
“UGC is a core feature of Dookey Dash Unclogged,” Faraway tweeted on January 17th. “*Everyone* can make their own 3d models and sell them in the Faraway Shop, and everyone can equip them in DDU to slay the sewers in style.”
At the time of this article’s publication, Yuga Labs and Faraway are expected to launch Dookey Dash Unclogged around the end of summer.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Dookey Dash Unclogged and will keep you posted on every aspect of this bored game. Stay tuned for updates!
