The Bored Ape Yacht Club gained more traction in popular culture today after it was briefly shown in post Malone’s new music video.

The rapper released a new music video today for his song, One Right Now, featuring The Weeknd. In the beginning of the video, Malone is seen using Moonpay’s app, the and then looking at his bored ape, Bored Ape#961.

Bored Ape #961 is a six trait zombie fur ape with a cowboy hat and a bored cigarette mouth. Malone purchased Bored Ape #961 for 75 Eth.

Moonpay,a financial technology company that builds payment infrastructure for crypto, on-boarded the popular singer last month. MoonPay confirmed that Malone was a member of the BAYC yesterday after the company posted a Tiktok video of the rapper buying his ape.

“My friends are going to freak out,” Malone said in the video. “Crypto all the NFTs they know shit.”

Bored Ape #961 isn’t Malone's only ape, the rapper also purchased Bored Ape #9039 on Halloween for 85 Eth. Bored Ape #9039 is a six trait dark brown fur ape with a diamond grill grin, cowboy hat and rainbow suspenders.
