AHHH! A fair game that will never die, filled with insane pumps, scary dumps, and all sorts of spooky speculation, has come alive on Robinhood Chain after NightShades officially emerged from the shadows and into the light, inviting anyone and everyone to clock in before Darkness strikes tomorrow… if they dare!
On Monday, Meebits’ highly anticipated StonkBrokers Special Project launched with free NFT claims for select collections and four simultaneous faction token launches via Clutch Markets’ coin launchpad, StonkLauncher!
As the Gazette previously reported, NightShades is an onchain trading survival game where four factions, Ghosts, Zombies, Watchers, and Knights, are each represented by tokens and NFTs and wait for something called the “Darkness” to strike every day at 10 A.M. ET.
When it does, liquidity will be sucked out of one or more faction tokens and shifted into the survivors, leading to bloody red candles for some and ghoulish green charts for others, all determined by Chainlink’s random number technology!
And that’s just the beginning!
After Darkness strikes, the countdown to the next attack begins, giving players time to reposition themselves and potentially buy into decimated faction tokens ahead of the next round.
“Its exciting,” Clutch Markets’ Founder 0xSimpleFarmer said on Spaces after this evening’s launches. “This has raised over $150,000 USD for the first buy round, which is pretty huge. Theoretically, these tokens are bonding around $250,000 so a $150,000 USD buy on a token like that is significant. We are taking about a 1-2 million dollar market cap. So effectively each token has a chance to 10X in the next 24 hours.”
Tonight, all four faction tokens have bonded and are trading across platforms where users typically pick up memecoins, including FOMO, Relay, and GMGN. The NightShades NFTs and tokens are also available on OpenSea.
As everyone waits for the first Darkness to strike tomorrow morning, 0xSimpleFarmer says he’s excited to see how traders react to what he describes as a fairer version of the memecoin game.
“I think people like the idea of a fair game,” 0xSimpleFarmer said. “I think people genuinely believe when buying a lot of these memecoins that they are investing, but its kind of a game. So this is just making this game fair… It will be interesting to see how people react. don’t think a lot of people know about this yet. Looking ahead, 0xSimpleFarmer expects interest in NightShades and its four faction tokens to grow in the hours leading up to the first Darkness as word spreads that one of these low cap tokens is about to get hit with a six figure buy order!
