Q&A: Find Out More About AIP-259 And How It Hopes to Focus the DAO's Resources Going Forward.

There is an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week that aims to focus the DAO’s resources on specific markets across the globe.

AIP-259 titled “Language and Market Focus for ApeCoin DAO in 2024-2025” is a process proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor MisterHype.

“This proposal aims to establish clear decision-making processes within ApeCoin DAO to prioritize and focus our efforts on specific markets,” MisterHype wrote. “By identifying selected markets and aligning our actions accordingly, we can maximize our impact, promote inclusivity, and build a stronger presence in targeted regions or demographics.”

To determine what languages and markets the ApeCoin DAO should focus on, MisterHype proposed the creation of a steering committee that will look into the DAO’s marketing and create a report with the help of either an external consulting company or involving community members.

From there, the steering committee will analyze the findings and propose a final marketing AIP to the DAO in quarter 1 of 2024.

“It's about concentrating efforts and resources on specific markets, ensuring a stronger presence in targeted areas. It guides decision-making and maximizes impact.”

“The steering committee plays a crucial role in suggesting the Language and Market Focus Strategy, to be ultimately selected by the DAO.”
