Q&A:This AIP Aims To Make A Discourse Page Where Apes Can Get Updates On AIPs &Authors Can Connect

The ApeCoin is voting on an Ape Improvement Proposal that aims to add a new category to the DAO’s Discourse page where contributors can get updates on passed proposals and authors can connect with one another!

AIP-258 titled “Proposal for Creating a Forum Section for AIP Authors Approved by ApeCoin DAO,” is an AIP written by Bored Ape Yacht Club member and ApeCoin DAO Contributor DoberDanny.

“The proposal suggests adding a new category to the Ape Coin DAO forum, aiming to create an ecosystem that enhances AIP authors’ productivity, enables DAO contributors to join the AIP team, and improves transparency for DAO members,” DoberDanny wrote.

If passed, AIP-258 will add a new “AIP Execution and Transparency” category that is made up of the following four sub-categories: 1.Author and Administration Contacts, 2. AIP Implementation Updates, 3.Author Networking Zone, and 4. HR Section for Approved AIP.

AIP-258 will not cost the ApeCoin DAO anything and it can be implemented within 1-3 days, according to DoberDanny.

1. What made you want to write AIP-258?

“When I ventured into developing my own platform, I faced numerous challenges. By establishing a networking field in ApeCoin DAO, I aim to address these shared obstacles collectively and seek solutions.”

2. In a sentence or two can you sum up what this proposal is all about?

“My proposal introduces a new category to boost productivity and efficiency for AIP authors. It facilitates experience exchange, collaboration, talent search, and more.”

3. What does success and failure look like for this AIP?

“The failure of this AIP lies in its non-implementation, with no foreseen drawbacks or concerns. Ignoring it means missing an opportunity to improve the DAO.”

4. How will this new section for AIP authors impact the DAO?

“Implementing this AIP will enhance the DAO, creating a more supportive space for AIP authors and inspiring others to learn from them. It can attract new participants and motivate project creation.”

The window to vote on AIP-258 is currently open and $Apes have until tomorrow night at 9 P.M. EST to cast their coins and vote on this proposal.
