Q&A: This AIP Wants To Bring The World Of Advertisement To The Otherside

From sign twirling to billboards, this Ape Improvement Proposal is bringing the world of advertising to Otherside with its proposed $Ape ads marketplace, which they think will help builders and creators in the Yugaverse share their goods and services with others and give Otherdeed holders the chance to make some coins!

AIP-302 titled ‘Create an advertising marketplace for APECOIN ecosystem,’ is an ecosystem fund allocation proposal written by Apecoin DAO Contributor Metahike_ADS on behalf of ADSHARES, a ‘Web3 Protocol that specializes in peer-to-peer advertising, according to its social media.

“ADSHARES is asking the APECOIN DAO to provide funding to create an APE AD MARKETPLACE, which will enable Otherdeed owners and creators to monetize their creations and lands with ads – and take in ad revenue in ApeCoin.”

Simply put, ADSHARE's Ape Ad Marketplace will be a platform where advertisers can purchase ad space, and Otherdeed holders can see which products are interested in buying ad space on their land.

1. In a sentence or two can you sum up your AIP?

“Our AIP aims to create an advertising marketplace for the Otherside ecosystem, where advertiser could reach new consumers - and creators could monetize their assets."

2. What inspired you to write this proposal?

"Our inspiration came from seeing how the current digital advertising system works. Our basic idea, our Northern Star, is to create a decentralized advertising economy, owned by the people more than a handful of corporations."

3. How do you plan to get advertisers to want to advertise on Otherside?

"As an infrastructure company - ADSHARES is not providing advertisers - but we rather create conditions in which media companies and ad agencies will promote Otherside among their clients. But like you can read in the proposal - when the Otherside is launched - there will.”

4. Why would Otherdeed holders want ads on their land?

“Otherdeed holder would decide exactly, how many, what kind, shape or form, and how many ads can there be on their land. For the holder - there’s total crative and content control.”

5. How much do you think an ad placed on an average otherdeed for a month would cost? How much would the Otherdeed holder make?

“Our technology works like any two-sided platform (e.g. Uber) - prices will change in line with the growth of the number advertisers. In a private deal - we have seen advertisers pay 2ETH for a month of displaying just one ad. But this is a manual system, which requires a lot of effort from the land owner - and it only workd for very popular locations. Our protocol ensures that everyone who places an ad, gets their share.”

6. What should $Ape holders know about you before they vote?

“The most important thing for $APE holders about $ADS is that we are serious and we mean business. We have been “the second wave” from the beginning. $APE holder should know that our technology has proven itself useful and beneficial for Advertisers, Publishers, and Consumers.”

7. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?

“I would like to extend my deep gratitude and respect for the whole Apecoin Community - for the warm welcome, for the valuable questions and guidance throughout the process.”
