A Gold fur bored ape broke the record for the highest sale today after selling for 199 Ethereum or over $500,000 USD .

Opensea User and BAYC member, Robkay, purchased Bored Ape #7090 from Opensea User, 31A470. 31A470 was the apes original minter.

“Glad to be part of the gold ape family,” Robkay tweeted after the purchase.

Bored Ape #7090 is a five trait gold fur ape with a service shirt, a multicolored grin and heart sunglasses. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #7090 is the 77th rarest ape, according to Rarity Tools.

After the purchase apes were quick to welcome Robkay to the BAYC. “Congrats,” tweeted BAYC member Po-Jui Chen. “Golden ape floor will become 2000 Eth some day!”

While this gold fur ape was Robkay’s largest purchase, he has been quite busy ape-ing into the BAYC.

In total, Robkay has spent 365.75 Eth or $950,950 USD on bored apes over the past three days, according to his Opensea account.
