Forget sweater weather, because it's officially jacket season around the swamp and more nautical looks may be on the horizon!

The timeline was looking stylish on Friday as Bored Ape Yacht Club members began receiving their bright red sailing jackets from the club's Manifest collection, just in time for ApeFest!

“Manifest 001 Jacket has arrived,” NGBShpend tweeted. “Hope you all love it as much as I already do. Bored Ape Yacht Club.”

As the Gazette previously reported, the Manifest collection was part of Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge's broader vision of putting the Yacht Club back into the Bored Ape Yacht Club through more intentional designs, aesthetics, and storytelling.

“We’ve also been thinking about what it actually means to be a Yacht Club - not just the name, but the feeling behind it,” the BAYC tweeted in April. “That’s starting to take shape. From here on out, you’ll see it show up more clearly in our apparel, our collaborations, and an aesthetic that finally does the Yacht Club name justice.”

And these new jackets are doing just that!

With their bright red color and classic sailing inspired design, the jackets pay homage to nautical fashion made popular by brands like Nautica and Polo Ralph Lauren in the 90s, giving today's Apes a look that's fit for the sea!

But this is just the beginning of the club's fashionable voyage. As the Gazette prevously reported, the BAYC is planning to drop two more yacht club inspired looks before years end!

“Two more chapters will unfold before the year is out,” Figge wrote in July. “Regatta, followed by The Commodore. Then the story shifts. 2027 opens somewhere new. The Clubhouse.”

The Gazette will continue to follow all things apparel around the swamp and will let you know when the next stylish look comes abored. Stay tuned for updates!
