As the Yugaverse gets ready to 'meet at the Clubhouse' for Yuga Labs' first-ever Otherside Townhall this Thursday, everyone  around the swamp who plans to attend must set up an Otherside account!

On Tuesday, Yuga Labs announced that it will be hosting its first ever metaverse meeting live from Otherside later this week.

“Happy Anniversary, Voyagers. No more Discord. Let’s meet in Otherside,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its OthersideMeta account. “Otherside Town Hall: Date: May 2, 2024 Time: 6 PM ET Voyagers, Kodas, BAYC, MAYC, Meebits, Grailed, & Moonbirds, (HV-MTLs) can all attend. An Otherside account will be required to join the event. Register at https://launch.otherside.xyz.”

 

In order to attend this meeting, Voyagers and Yuga Labs PFP NFT Holders must set up an Otherside account, like Apes and Voyagers did back in February to attend the company’s Apes Come Home event.

“Users will need to create an Otherside account using an email address and password,” Yuga Labs explained in February. “A wallet must be connected to this account (can be through Warm.xyz wallet delegation) to verify NFT ownership as admission to the event. Your Otherside account will be your hub for accessing events and your name will be your identity in Otherside moving forward.  Your display name should match your account name and will be displayed while you’re in an Otherside event.”

 

Once set up, the community will be able to see their NFTs in their ‘MY COLLECTION’ section on the Otherside site and they will be able to enter the metaverse once the meeting begins this Thursday at 6 P.M. EST.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, this  Otherside hub  is a ‘big deal,’ according to Yuga Labs’ Otherside General Manager Eric Reid.

"It means that you can now set up a single Otherside account and identity, with access to your NFTs and wallets, and that account will be persistent across everything you do on Otherside, including earning badges, loot, social influence, and so much more,” Reid explained in a blog post in February, 2024. “It means you’ll be able to play in environments and use avatars which are AAA game quality - unlike any of the stuff that exists in other metaverses today. And it means in time you will be able to play anytime, anywhere, and with thousands of friends across the world. So, yeah, it is a big deal in just a few short months."
