SEE YOU LATER, ALLIGATOR: TokenGators Transform The Otherside Swamp Into Their Home And Everyone’s Invited To Come For A Swim!

From “in a while, crocodile” to “see you later, alligator.” On Thursday, the Otherside waters got a major update as ApeChain’s TokenGators officially made the swamp outside the Bored Ape Yacht Club their burrow, complete with foam hats and more!

“The Gators are finally in the swamp where they belong,” TokenGators’ Co-Founder PaperDStudio said. “Seeing our IP take over this part of Otherside feels surreal, it’s like watching a world we’ve been building for years suddenly come to life. We loved transforming the empty swamp area next to the Clubhouse into something with real energy and story.”

 

The addition of the TokenGators certainly gave the Everglades some bite. What was once a pond with a few inflatable gators is now a lived in wetland, filled with winks and nods to the project’s past, and maybe even a few clues about what’s next for the Gators.

“The layout is inspired by our original sunken amusement park scene from the mint page and OpenSea banner, bringing that early vision into the world in a big way,” PaperDStudio said. “The pop-up shop from our 10KTF activation is front and center, and it’s very intentionally placed and it hints at where TokenGators could go next, and how experiences and drops might continue to evolve inside Otherside. We’re incredibly grateful to the entire Yuga team for making this possible, and to Rida and Inceptive Studio for helping bring the space to life.”

 

 

After its grand opening, Apes, Gators, and Voyagers galore flooded the timeline, showing off the newly improved Gator land.

Swimming into uncharted waters is nothing new for the TokenGators. As the Gazette previously reported, the project made history last year when it became the first crosschain collection between ApeChain and Ethereum, letting holders bridge with ease!
