From numerology and one liners to symbols that may or may not mean something, the Bored Ape Yacht Club has spent nearly a week dropping rustic red clues about the whereabouts of ApeFest 2026, sending primates down the rabbit hole in search of the location of this big meeting of apes from around the world!

While Apes across the swamp have been sharing theories, few have gone deeper into the mystery than BAYC member BTDwayne.

From dissecting the backgrounds of each clue and spotting details like pandas, AX, and even the word "TEXAS" to researching the significance of "1017" and "2325" and developing a theory that the BAYC Clubhouse could be on the tenth floor of a building in Wynwood, BTDwayne is through the looking glass, primates!

“I was inspired to do this because I like to think I’m pretty good at puzzles,” he told the Gazette. “Plus, it dropped before a long weekend, so I had some time to kill and it’s always fun to be the one that solved, or helped solve a riddle.”

After spending days analyzing every clue and writing down his theories, BTDwayne told the Gazette that he has narrowed down this years ApeFest to two locations: Miami's Wynwood district and Beeple's Studio in Charleston, South Carolina.

“I would say it’s between Wynwood or Beeple Studio.  I lean towards Wynwood/Miami because Beeple Studio doesn’t seem big enough or have enough to do nearby.  There is so much going on in the clues that I’m not certain any give us the answer yet, so Wynwood is more gut feeling than supported by the clues.”

While he's enjoyed trying to crack the case, BTDwayne told the Gazette that he's ready for some real answers and hopes the BAYC gives them to the community soon.

“I’ve had a blast so far, and while I could keep doing this for another week, I hope Figge and crew break the code for us at this week’s Meet at the Clubhouse,” BTDwayne said.” If it’s in the USA, I don’t have to worry about booking flights early or getting a passport or visa, but for those that do need that extra time to prepare it would be good to reveal it this week.”
