Forget shifting gears, HV-MTLs are changing chains!
On Monday, the HV-MTL Mechs were officially on the move after the project’s owner, Adam Weitsman, announced that holders can now bridge their bots from Ethereum Mainnet to ApeChain thanks to LayerZero technology, opening a whole new world of opportunities for HVs!

“The ApeChain bridge is now live,” Weitsman wrote. “ You can go to http://hv-mtl.com click the bridge icon and move your HVs to @apecoin. We launched this feature so holders can participate in all the activities our friends at Apechain are hosting and to bring more visibility and fresh eyes to the collection. You can always move your assets back and forth between ApeChain and Ethereum bridging is completely optional and not required to participate in our official activations.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, today’s crosschain bridge opening is the second major step in HV-MTL’s reboot, which officially began last Friday when the project invited holders to reactivate their Bots and claim their AMP pieces. These AMPs will eventually be used to upgrade Mechs from their EVO1 to EVO2 forms.
Like Weitsman said, bringing the bots from ETH to $APE is easy. Simply visit the HV-MTL website and click the “BRIDGE” button in the bottom right corner. But note, you’ll need to reactivate your HV-MTLs first!

From there, holders can move their activated HV-MTLs and AMP parts between Ethereum and ApeChain with a simple selection and wallet approval.

Looking ahead, Weitsman and his partner Gabe have big plans for the HV-MTL collection, including getting everyone either their Bots’ EVO2 forms or a brand new NFT called HV-MTL Pets, which will serve as the Lil Pudgy or Mutant Ape equivalent in the HV ecosystem.
