SOULS FOR SALE: GobsOnApe Founder James Hall Teases A Soon To Open Gobs And Mintotaurs ApeChain Marketplace Dubbed SoulSwapper!

A mysterious new entity known as the Soul Swapper has made its way to the mystical GobsOnApe world of Grimhold, and with it, a work in progress marketplace dedicated to this enchanted realm!

On Tuesday, GobsOnApe founder James Hall directed the community’s attention to a newly launched X account called @TheSoulSwapper and revealed that he’s built a marketplace for his two collections using Limitbreak’s open source infrastructure. He also encouraged other creators to “be nuts” and do the same.

“@limitbreak has already deployed an entire marketplace infrastructure on @ApeChainHUB,” Hall tweeted. “All you need to do is build a front-end to talk to these contracts, and YOU, your community, your project can have it's own marketplace. Sure, royalties are touchy, but no one bats an eye at the .5% minimum that the marketplaces take to facilitate moving assets from sellers to buyer. What if the collection themselves could get that? Shit, I would have made 100k+ Ape just on 0.5% txn fees if i built a mp. Just the other day @betty_nftsaid "You have to be a little bit nuts to go against what everyone advises you to do, but sometimes it can result in unexpected magic." Everyone always says "don't go against the marketplaces"....well. Let's be nuts.

 

 

At this time, Hall says Soul Swapper is in its closed alpha phase, functioning as a minimum viable product, with some Gobs already testing it out. “It’s very MVP and basic,” he said, “but it’s got a strong foundation. Stay tuned.”
