SPOOKY OR TRIPPY SEASON?: Longtime BAYC Member Boo Purchases A Trippy Fur Primate For 16 ETH, Or $47.5K

It was a terrifyingly trippy evening around the swamp after a trippy fur primate was scooped up by a longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member who goes by a ghostly name.

Spooky season came a little early to the swamp on Tuesday when BAYC Member Boo purchased Bored Ape #6315 from fellow BAYC Member 2948.eth for 16 ETH, or roughly $47,500 USD.

 

Bored Ape #6315 is a six trait trippy fur Ape featuring a guayabera shirt, fisherman’s hat, and an army green background. Based on these traits, the Ape ranks as the 1,622nd boredest around the swamp, according to OpenSea data.

 

Boo is no stranger to the BAYC. In fact, he’s been a member since May 2021, when he purchased his first Ape from Pranksy for just 0.5 ETH, according to Etherscan.

 

"Bored Apes are iconic," Boo told the Gazette. "I’ve been in the club since early May 2021 when I, like everyone else, fell in love with the collection but also the direction that Yuga had envisioned. Gold, Trippy and Blue Beam Apes have always been the ultimate grails for me. To have an opportunity at securing one, I had to seize that opportunity. The risk reward, whether holding long term or trying to flip it, seemed more than reasonable for me. Feels good to own a grail!"

Today, Boo has an impressive collection across his two main wallets, including three Bored Apes, one Koda, three Otherdeeds, and a Chimper.
