SPREADING SOON: An Infectious New Game Called Outbreak Is Coming To Otherside, According To Yuga Labs CEO Garga

God bless you! Coughs, sleepless nights, and more will be going around the swamp and hopefully spreading beyond it soon, as Yuga Labs CEO Garga teases that an infectious new game is coming to Otherside!

On Wednesday, Garga took to the Otherside Discord to talk with holders and announced that the metaverse’s second ODK Development Kit created game, dubbed Outbreak, is launching soon.

“Otherside Outbreak is next. Coming soon,” he said. “Might slip to early Sept, doing some bug bashing, but soon either way.”

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs first announced Outbreak in June, teasing gameplay that is literally infectious!

 

“it’s basically a zombie infection game,” Garga said at the time. “Basically one guy’s got the plague and he’s got to chase everybody down and get them infected. Then at the end of the round, it’s a timed match, either the survivors win or the infected win. Its pretty fun! There’s a lot of little boost and things hidden around the map to trick people. You can create decoys, you can speed up, the map is beautiful, there’s also some story behind the map that we are excited to share too. I’m just excited to get people in.”

 

During Wednesday’s Discord discussion, Garga also confirmed that Outbreak will be open to anyone and everyone in the Web3 world and beyond and that he hopes it spreads.

“Outbreak won’t be token gated, we want to encourage adoption,” he explained. “If we get more people to see the potential of the Otherside platform, it’s that much easier to drive value to deeds.”
