Super Plastic Shared An Image Of Its Mutant Ape Figurine Today. Find Out more Here:
High-end vinyl toymaker SuperPlastic shared a photo of its latest mutant ape figurine on Twitter Friday afternoon.
“GET TF READY,” SuperPlastic tweeted along with an insane image. “MUTANT APE VINYL NEXT WEEK.”
The Mutant ape that SuperPlastic’s MAYC vinyl figurine is based on is Mutant Ape #1590.
Mutant Ape #1590 is a six trait m1 black fur mutant ape with a gold grill grin, sunglasses, and a fisherman’s hat.
At the time of this article publication, we do not have any details on how much the vinyl figurine of Mutant Ape #1590 will cost or how the drop mechanics will work.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, some Bored Ape Yacht Club members were less than thrilled with SuperPlastic’s original MAYC color wave Curtis from the brand’s SuperBored release.
“The mutant... why is it just Curtis painted green with a blank white shirt,” BAYC member James G tweeted at the time. “It looks unfinished, and to me, it doesn't say "mutant.”
Based on this type of feedback, SuperPlastic announced that the brand would do another Mutant Ape vinyl toy in May 2022.
“We want to make an even more rad MAYC toy for you,” the company wrote in the BAYC members only Discord on May 13th. So what we want to know is should we make a sculpted, custom- MOTHER F&%kin MAYC toy?”
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to keep you posted on the SuperPlastic Mutant Ape release. Stay tuned for updates!
