Koda Plushie holders, check your wallets!
On Wednesday, Koda Plushie holders were comfy in Phygitals after Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge announced that he and the Phygitals team had airdropped every holder of the Otherside's first ever toy a free Pokémon card pack to rip!

“Just finished an airdrop of pokemon card packs with our friends at @phygitals to everyone who owns an rwa koda plush,” Figge tweeted. “Every koda plush holder received 1 rookie pack ($25) per wallet holders who have 9 or more koda plush received a legend pack ($250) per wallet.”
Today’s free airdrop comes just days after Yuga Labs dropped and quickly sold out its limited edition collection of 1,111 redeemable Koda Plushies on Phygitals.
Remember, unlike traditional onchain collectibles, each of these NFTs is backed by a physical plushie that holders can freely buy, sell, trade, or eventually redeem once physical claims open later this summer, according to Yuga Labs.
Following Wednesday's surprise airdrop, collectors flooded the timeline with photos of their free packs and pulls, with some hitting vintage grails like a 1999 Japanese Exeggutor promo card while others landed modern favorites like Mega Charizard.
“Love this, especially because it wasn't an expected benefit,” BAYC member NFTBeliever tweeted. “Random value returned to holders is much more effective than airdrops that get priced in and cause all sort of weird price action on the underlying asset.”
Looking ahead, Yuga Labs hopes to see more dApps like Phygitals integrate its Glyph wallet so collectors can receive more surprises and perks in the future.
“one of the reasons we're pushing for glyph to be adopted by collector platforms is that we want folks in our community to get more stuff like this in the future collectors collect”
As the Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs has spent the last year building its Glyph wallet solution in hopes of making ApeCoin and Web3 more accessible to both longtime users and newcomers.
With Glyph, anyone can create a wallet using a Gmail account, X account, or Apple ID and begin exploring the onchain world in minutes.
