The CEO of the luxury watch company, TAG Heuer, has aped into the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
Frédéric Arnault, who became CEO of TAG Heuer in July 2020, aped into the BAYC on May 11th picking up Bored Ape #4215 with help from notable BAYC collector Lior.Eth.
Lior.Eth purchased Bored Ape #4215 from NFTpress on May 9th and transferred the primate to Arnault a day later, according to Opensea data.
Arnault changed his Twitter profile photo to Bored Ape #4215 today and Lior.Eth welcomed his friend into the swamp!
“Super excited to welcome my friend Frederic Arnault to the Club,” Lior.Eth tweeted. “It was a big honor to work with you on this ape, you really couldn’t have picked a better one! When new and old world luxury collide, incredible things will happen. LFG!”
Bored Ape #4215 is a five-trait brown fur ape with a black BAYC hat, an eye patch, and a diamond grill. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #4215 is the 2470th most rare ape, according to Rarity Tools.
After Arnault changed his profile photo to his Bored Ape, BAYC members began to speculate when TAG Heuer or the brand’s parent company, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, would do a BAYC collaboration.
“Now this is the man I always wanted to be part of BAYC, BAYC member Mega Kong tweeted. “Finally, we getting LV merch and tiffany BAYC jewelry.”
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Arnault, TAG Heuer, and the larger LVMH brand and let you know what they do next!
