The ApeCoin DAO Is Currently Selecting 4 Working Group Zero Stewards. Here's What You Need To Know:

The ApeCoin DAO is currently in the process of electing four “Stewards” to take leading roles in the newly formed Working Group Zero.

The ApeCoin DAO recently passed AIP-196 titled “Bringing Order and Reliability via Ecosystem Decentralization,” earlier this month.

A big part of AIP-196 was the creation of “Working Group Zero.”

The goal of WG0 is to bring engaged DAO contributors and stakeholders together to figure out a path forward for the DAO before the Cartan Group’s administrative contract with the DAO expires on February 28th.

Over the next month and a half, Working Group Zero members will work to create and recommend possible post-Cartan Group transition plans to the Special Council. The Group will also oversee a Request for Proposal process to identify possible future APE Foundation administrators.

As laid out in AIP-196, the $Ape community gets to select four “Stewards” to lead this working group along with the three Special Council appointed Stewards. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the Special Council selected Bored Ape Yacht Club Members Adventurous Ape, Amplify, and Wabaam to be its Stewards earlier this week.

All seven of these Stewards will be responsible for “1. Administrative oversight 2. Budgeting based on the needs of WG0 as approved by the Special Council 3. Reporting on all WG0 activities between the Special Council, the Administrators, and the Community,” according to AIP-196 Author Badteeth.

In total, 18 Apecoin DAO contributors are running for the four Steward positions. Take a look at the nominees and the current vote totals below:

The window to vote in the WG0 Steward Election closes on January 18th at 9 P.M. EST. ApeCoin DAO contributors who have achieved one of the following criteria can cast a vote:
