The Bored Ape Yacht Club is going nuts, DEATH NUTS!

“Lord of Chaos, @0xWave, has convinced a number of BAYC members to attempt the DEATH NUT CHALLENGE (v 3.0),” The BAYC Tweeted. “A number of us will be ruining our digestive tracts together on the Discord voice chat - scheduled for Thursday, 7/22, at 9pm EST.”

The Death Nut challenge version 3.0, is a food challenge from Blazing Brands where competitors are challenged to eat insanely hot nuts. In total, there are 5 levels of hotness competitors are tasked to eat. The challenge culminates in the competitors being challenged to eat the death nut.

“The Deathnut is made with a new super-hot pepper distillate that is spray-dried into a powder form delivering a whopping 16,000,000 Scoville Heat Units,” according to the products Amazon description.

For context, Jalapeño peppers measure 2,500–8,000 on the Scoville scale, and Ghost peppers measure 855,000 – 1,041,427, according to pepperscale.com

“Disclaimer - We think this might be horribly irresponsible and may have health implications,” The BAYC tweeted . “So we can't recommend anyone participate. But it's a great opportunity to listen to the BAYC devs cry/puke. This is the one we're trying.”
