The BAYC Revealed The Eight Different Mechs Types And Said They Each Have A Unique Personality

The Bored Ape Yacht Club gave the community its first look at the eight HV-MTL Mech types today and revealed new information about the their origins and explained that each type has a unique personality!

“It’s time to glimpse at the HV-MTL collection,” the BAYC tweeted this evening. “Head over to for more on your Power Sources.”

On the BAYC’s new website, the club gave the community a look at the eight base Mech types and some of their variations:

“Undisturbed for centuries, HV-MTL have been summoned abruptly through a rift in space-time (and if they knew how much it had to do with Jimmy’s atomic shit, they’d be impressed)," the BAYC wrote. “Gary is convinced there’s a cosmic battle on the horizon and needs every HV (pronounced Heavy) to evolve into its final form before it’s too late. But are the HVs new friends — or is there reason to be wary?”

While we do not know if these HV-MTL Mechs are friends or foes, we do know that each type has a unique personality and that holders choices will have an impact of these Machines, according to the club.

“Your HV is a unique, dynamic NFT that evolves based on your decisions, so don't fuck this up,” the BAYC wrote. “There are eight different HV-Types and countless different trait combinations. Each has its own skills, personality, and roles, but they're all designed to transform."

Take a look at each Mech Base type and its unique personality below:

Glitch: “No Bugs. Just Features.

Dynamic: Life (and death) of the party.

Bio: Eco-Unfriendly.

Knight: Vintage Heroics. Doesn’t think you’re funny.

Celestial: Ancient. The Original Shooting Stars.

Reaver: Thrives in darkness. Slays.

Holo: Don’t blink.

Legendary: A singularity. The heaviest HV.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported the customization of HV-MTL Holders' Mechs will happen during the HV-MTL Forge.

“In HV-MTL Forge: build and customize a workshop that prepares your HVs for their evolution,” the BAYC wrote. “Show off your creations to climb the leaderboard and unlock special abilities. Take risks and face the dangers of the rift to discover blueprints, gather materials, and craft upgrades.”

While we do not know much about the game or what users will do in it, we do know that it will likely start in April, according to the BAYC’s MDVMM website.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the HV-MTL Power Sources and will let you know when the BAYC releases more information about the Mechs! Stay tuned for updates.
