THE EARLY BIRD GETS THE SKETCH!: A Trip To Pick Up Her Mom Ends With A Rare Vibes TCG Pull For Pudgy Penguins' Katie!

The early bird may get the worm, but the Pudgy Penguin who picks up her mom gets the sketch card!
Last Friday, Orange Cap Games’ Vibes TCG officially made its way into more than 2,000 Target stores across America, sending Moonbirds, Pudgy Penguins, and collectors flocking to their local stores.
As the timeline filled with frens finding packs, Lil Pudgy holder Katie hopped in her car and headed to see her mom, who lives two hours and six Targets away, giving her the perfect chance to collect!
“I was so excited when they announced that the third set would be in Target, it’s one of my favorite stores,” Katie told the Gazette. The day it was released I needed to go pick my mother up from her house… Which is two hours away! I stopped at six target on the way! I grabbed packs from three of the six stores because three of them did not have any!”
While on her drive, Katie opened her hanger boxes to check which promo Pengus she got, but kept the rest of her packs sealed until she got home in case she hit something big.
That decision paid off because Katie wound up pulling an /10 Junkyard Penguin Sketch card!
“I didn’t open any of my packs of cards until last night when I was watching a friend’s stream on Whatnot who was opening a case of Vibes,” she said. “ As I opened my last pack of cards, I realized that I had pulled a sketch!! I typed it in the chat and everybody was so excited!”
After her pull, Katie told the Gazette that she plans to add the card to her growing Vibes TCG collection.
"I’m a big Vibes collector,” she said. “So I have a few sketches from the first and second set!”
Along with collecting Vibes, Katie’s Lil Pudgy was also featured in the game’s second set, Legends of the Lils, adding a whole new layer of sentimentality to the hobby for her.
“Having my Lil’ added to a card was very exciting for me,” she said. “I have been the biggest brand ambassador since then!”
Looking ahead, Katie said she plans to keep collecting Vibes TCG, and while her cards aren’t for sale, she would be open to trading if someone owns the Penguin or Moonbird featured in one of her cards.
